The 14th Asian Games were held in Busan, Korea from September 29 to October 14, 2002. A total number of 6572 athletes competed, coming from 44 countries.Body building made its debut as an event.

　　It was the first time in the history of the Asian Games that all 44 member nations of the Olympic Council of Asia participated.

　　第14届釜山亚运会于2002年09月29日至10月14日在韩国釜山举行。来自44个国家和地区的6572个运动员参加。健美是新增的运动。

　　来自亚洲44个国家和地区的所有亚奥理事会成员都派团前来与会，使本届亚运会成为亚运历史上名副其实的一次“大团圆”。
